Cusco, Plants, and Festivals/Ceremonies in Peru

Well, I am days within returning from my Artist Residency in Urubamba, Peru. Obviously, the blogging did not happen as planned, but I have uploaded a few photos over the past week. More to come. Enjoy. And feel free to ask questions or share your experiences.

    1. Hi Jack,

It was a wonderful experience. The facilities are lovely and the staff very attentive, kind, and caring. Neli is an amazing cook and the food was out of this world.

I did not expect the “academic” part of this residency to be as rigorous as it was. I enjoyed it and the readings and discussions gave me a deeper appreciation and awareness of cultural bias. If you’re not the academic type, this residency is not for you.

Also, I was an independent study artist so I was not provided instruction on site by a local artist. Fiber arts and ceramics artists have this opportunity available to them.

Have fun if you decide to apply!
